So, I went back to Kingston this weekend. Sciformal was really fun and it was great to hang out with the ’06s again. I’ll miss them next year.
Among other things, I had the privilege of going to ccf’s drum night where we had djembe lessons. It was fun to dance and drum and stuff and just nice to be back and see how God is working. Good talks with Collin about lots of stuff as always. Being around him and listening to him always brings me encouragement to see how God works. It seems everytime I’ve gone back to Kingston this year it has been God-filled encounters. Just lots that God is showing me and confirming, it’s almost my own little retreat away from the stress of work and other stuff (not to say it compares to the stress you guys face at school).
I also had the privilege of going to OMF’s mission conference this week at Bethel. It was a time where God awakened interest in overseas again. I have always had a heart for China, and having helped in many capacities in these ministries has given me new perspective again and again, perspective in the light of eternity. Again and again, I am being reminded of the things that matter.
I also had the privilege of going to praise and power this week, that was another awesome privilege and I think my time in K was spent fruitfully. Catching up with Mel about what God had been doing in her life was awesome. Just seeing the hand of God in my friends’ lives, and my own life has been so exciting. And anyone who hasn’t experienced the joy at 375 should drop by just to experience it firsthand…it’s such a happening place.
I’ll let my mind toy with the things I’ve learned this weekend, and sometime expound on it. For now, this is all the coherent thoughts I can put down.
24And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.
your posts are so full of encouragement and so full of God ^^ i love it ^_________________^
